VIP Petcare Services
Northern California Mobile Animal Clinic over vaccine animals for monetary gain All Over Northern California

It is very unfortunate that many Veterinarian over vaccinate animals for monetary gain.

On April 06, VIP Petcare Services sold me a vaccine package that resulted in the death of both of my three month old puppies. I went to VIP Petcare Services weekly mobile clinic at Petfood express to get them de-wormed and was pushed to get the puppy pack which included, 5in1 (DAP Parvo), Cornona, Bordetella, and Roundworm Deworm. After showing their representative my pets medical and vaccination records, I told her that my puppies would not need their second set of 5in1 just yet as they were just vaccinated on March 20. She then ensured me that it was almost time and that they would be fine getting another dose early. The representative then asked me to go pay at the register and got my vaccine ready for the pups. It was not until after the shots were administered that she handed me the paperwork and told me about the possible reactions that could occur.

The day after getting vacinated, both puppies got really sick. On April 9th I notice my puppies started to cough I called VIP Petcare immediately about it. I was informed by another representative that based on my description, it sounded like a reaction from the Bordetella vaccine and that it was normal. As conditions worsened, I posted a review on Yelp about VIP Petcare, sharing my experience with the vaccine and services. A few days later I was contacted by another VIP Petcare representative, Mr. Devan Paddock. He offered to reimburse any medical fees I incurred as a result of the vaccination. However, after learning that my vet bills is over $4000, he is now declining his offer to pay back all the damage I have sustained, claiming that my puppies were probably already sick.

Not only is his statement insulting, it is insensitive after having just watched two puppies that I have grown attached to suffer so slowly before having to be put to sleep.in addition to medical records given to me by licensed Vets before the vaccination occurred, I have testimonies by other Veterinarians stating that my puppys reactions can be from the Bordetella vaccine, a combination of all the vaccines given through the puppy package, or over vaccination (VIP gave my puppies the 5in 1 vaccine after only 17 days from the last time this vaccine was administered). Also, I was advised by other veterinarians that it is in the best interest of small dogs to have their vaccines spread out over a period of time. And I also have record of Mr. Santana (PR Manager) telling me that the Bordetella is generally not necessary for house dogs unless they are going to be bored at Kennels. I also have testimonies from other VIP Petcare clients that have had a similar problem withVIP Petcares sales tactic. Lastly, I also found out the girl who pushed the puppy pack is neither a Veterinarian nor a Vet tech, she is a VIP Petcare cashier and have no business giving medical advice. Their organization has a record of over vaccinating animals for monetary gain. I would like Channel 7 to cover this story to warn other pet lovers the danger of over vaccination and & unethical business practice of VIP Petcare services (happypet.com). Please contact me for more detailed info regarding this case.
