Management at Knotts Berry Farm are extremely unsympathetic and could care less about the people who come into their park. We had out of state family who went to the park on 6/19/08 (yesterday). We paid $160.00 for 4 adult tickets and 2 children tickets—my family stood in long lines and got on one ride in 3 hours. Several times after standing in line (in the extreme heat) they got to the front of the line and were told that the ride had become inoperable. The park closed at 7 P.M., my son-in-law recently had heart surgery and one of my grandchildren also had heart surgery in March. Also, two of the most popular rides were not working—my family left this morning to return to their home in Oregon. I called Knotts this morning (the day after their Knotts trip) and was on 45 minutes—then drove to Knotts (20 miles round trip), waited an hour for management to come to the gate—was told "sorry—my family should have complained when they were there yesterday. My family was disappointed that their time at Knotts was less than pleasurable and were too tired to complain. I thought perhaps Knotts would be responsive to my complaint—they even refused to send a management supervisor to speak with me—but they did give their names—Vanessa D. And Kevin N. (they are not permitted to give last names). Additionally, the gate were I stood and waited for management personnel was by a sewer drainage and was extremely nausating—even the poor workers standing by the gate complained of the foul odor.
