Scotia motors dodge refuses to honor ny state lemon law! Wont honor own warranty

Short and not so sweet, Well after a great period of 51 days it seems the SUV that was bought from Scotia Motors Dodge has some issues. After calling and getting the run around for 2 days my future wife asked for me to attempt to contact the dealership where the car was bought. I was able to get a hold of the sales manager who sold her the car after a few attempts. After talking with BOB and being told that my future wife had not told him or the service department about the extent of the problems just that the window did not work... Funny as I recall being in the room during one of the phone calls... And while I admit she did mention the fact that the window was not working she also included the fact that the seats were not working no power to the windows or doors and the heat feature was set to hell on the heated seat... Don't drive too far.

Well after talking to a few people i was able to arrange to drop of the car. Still being told that they would take care of it cause after all we are still under the 90 days or 3000 miles that is NY State law. Later in the day i was contacted at work and was informed of the problem. A switch that controls the power window was cause of the demonic possession that had gripped my once loved SUV.

Umm Ok but wait of course this switch is not under any warranty but BOB was here to do the right thing and stand behind the car he sold... After all it was his ex wifes. BOB was offering the deal of the day he had worked and worked and worked going back to an old dealership and going behind his bosses back to be able to only charge me half the bill and half the labor. 150 bucks and we would be all set.

I really wanted to trust BOB and Scotia Motors Dodge Scotia NY 518 374 6274 but after all it just seemed fishy to me.

After a little research into the law in the great state of NY. I called BOB back at Scotia motors Dodge Scotia NY (foot note) my research included calling the attorney general office in NY. Guess what they said? For the year and mileage and cost all electric features were coved by law.

I call BOB back and while i am thankful for all his hours vested in my transportation well being, that paying for something under warranty was not so much of a deal after all. At this point i informed BOB of my recent education via the NY State office of the Attorney General's 1-800 line that i would be reporting this to them and the BBB... Well as you can guess BOB didn't like this. To his credit I must say I was very impressed the way he could lace threats with friendship and doing the right thing. BOB was really looking out for me its no doubt this ability to talk and think on the fly has taken him all the way to sales manager at Scotia Motors Dodge Scotia NY.

Well i picked up the SUV... Still fully loaded with dark forces, and here i am will I get any where I doubt it. Will i invest all my energy into trying to push this to the full extent of the law you bet! MY question is to you. Whom should you trust... BOB with his wealth of knowledge in the lemon law of the state or the legal beagle at the Attorney Generals Office.
