On March 4th I get a call from a man named Rob about a truck driving job from a company called Apet. (I have a class A CDL and wanted local work.)
He told me a little about the job, which was mainly delivering tropical fish to various points in the Midwest. It was driving a small truck or van. Rob asked me if I would like to come in for an interview the next day. I accepted, and the next day went to the interview. The interview went very well and I also met with the company dispatcher. Rob took a photocopy of my license, along with my SS#. As the interview closed Rob told me that everything looks good, and all he has to do was to run some of my paper work through the state to check for any discrepencies. After that I could start the job. One week went by and I called and could not get through to him and all I got was his voice mail, in which I left numerous messages that he did not return, Finally I get through and he says that the reason he did not get back to me was that he had to substitute for his dispatcher and that things around the place were very hectic. Another week goes by and I call Rob up again, This time he tells me that he decided not to hire a driver and the company is going through a transition period and that he will keep me in mind in case he ever needs a driver in the future. What a SHOCKER that was! I waited 2 weeks for him to get back to me, I put things on hold for this job, and he goes and pulls out of his promise to hire me NOW the best part I usually browse Craigslist for job postings. The f—kin idiot has an ad for drivers posted. Apets hiring practices suck the big one! I would stay as far away from this company as I can! Who knows well their tropical fish are. The company is bogus, misleading and deceitful for taking advantage of job applicants and a qualified one at that.
