In August of '07 I ordered an automotive lift from Bob Frechette at America's Pride. He informed me that due to the promotion orders were backed up by 3 weeks. I waited four weeks before attempting to contact them. I got no response. Then I received an e-mail stating that I would be informed of my delivery date on October 17.

That date came and went and a week later I began calling and e-mailing again getting no response. No one in authority was ever available. Voicemail messages to Becky (supposedly the customer service manager) and Mike (reportedly the owner) got no response. Eventually, I spoke to a young woman named Jessie O'Donnell who seemed genuinely bothered and apologetic, but unable to give me any information.

This went on through the holidays with her telling me that a shipping date was forthcoming, but it never seemed to materialize. Then, I think by mistake, she put me through to Becky. She gave me a song and dance about a problem with a plant in China. I told her that that certainly didn't excuse the shoddy treatment and non-communication I'd had to put up with.

Becky then told me that there were units like I'd ordered in Texas, but they were for more recent orders and that I'd have to wait longer. I went ballistic (without profanity, I should add) and said that was the craziest thing I'd ever heard of. She finally agreed to divert a unit to me within the week.

I had originally requested that I be notified a day in advance of delivery because I had to line up a forklift at a nearby commercial facility. I was shocked one morning by a call from the place that the delivery was being made. I was unable to get there in time to "receive" or accept the delivery.

It wasn't until I began to assemble it that I discovered that there was no paperwork (invoice or directions), no trays and worse, NO power unit! I called my new friend Jessie and she didn't seem to be at all surprised at the shortage and told me that the missing parts would be sent by DHL the next day and that she would e-mail me the tracking info along with a PDF file for the directions.

She did send the PDF file on January 30, but no tracking info. Since then I have again been stonewalled. Now, even she is not available and then idiot that answers the phone knows nothing, doesn't know where anyone is or when they will be there. All she can do is put me through to voicemail... Any call backs? Not likely.

I just notified my credit card company to dispute the charge and left Becky a message to that effect. Let's see if that works. What I have now is absolutely useless and regardless of then product, I would encourage anyone to stay away from this company. They are not a serious business, they are clowns.
