A salemans from Icon Security came to my mothers home and said that he would like to update her home alarm system. (She has a active contract with ADT). The saleman told her that the only changes would be a larger keypad with pictures of very important service, fireman, police, medical. And a remote.
The problem is that she is currently under a contract with ADT until June.
Icon security knew this because they just but their equipment on top of ADT.
When I notice there was a new security pad, it was too late to cancel the new contract with Icon.
I phone and mailed in letters to Icon to have them void this contract, because at the time of this contract my mother had just be released from a rehabilation center for head trauma. I also provided Icon a letter from her Doctor (per Icon request) stating that she was not capable to make any dicision.
I was told via phone conversation that they will cancel this contract as of Feb but I received in writting that Icon cannot cancel this contract.
