Dead Beat dad abandoned 9 year old daughter for 8 years no child support, health insurance, visitation, or day care reimbursement.
Has not filed taxes in 5 years, moved to Washington, and has not worked o tax paying job for eight years, refuses to file for unemployment, has never had health insurance for my daughter... All to evade child support.
$30,000 in arrears of child support—still has a drivers license-still has no job for 8 years now... 8 years!!!
Came back in the picture and was given visitation rights, ordered to go to reunification thereapy... Doesnt go, Ordered to complete 12 weeks of parenting classes... Never did. Courts do not enforce court orders!!!
What is wrong with our system. How is this man able to walk back into a childs life and turn her life upside down and our judges are just allowing it!!!
Shouldn't there be some type of law on child abandonment!!!
I believe that if you walk away from your own flesh and blood and dont look back, do not contact or make any attempt to support for over a year you should then have no rights to that child.
These poor children who have to at first deal with the fact of an absentee parent, are then made to establish relationships with people who are basically strangers. The same people who abandoned them in the first place!!! I mean don't we teach our children at a very young age "don't talk to starngers"? Mostly because we believe that one of their parents wont end up being a person whom we are protecting our children against.
Then us, the "custodial" parents, who have been there since day one, are made to basically lie to our children everyday by speaking positive about these dead beats to our sons and daughters. Because if we don't, then, in the eyes of our courts, our oh so fair justice system, we are the ones who arent giving our children a stable environment and a positive outlook on life. We are the ones who should know better!!!
What about the dead beat! Isnt he / she responsible for anything. What about him / her being responsible for her stability and maybe putting in some effort to being more then a waste of a man.

I know that there are tons of children out there that are missing one parent a mother or a father and i know that there are many parents out there doing it all on their own just like me.
Please contact me via email if you are fighting the same i think we need to fight our congressmen and change the legislation on child abandonment!!! Something needs to be done, these absent parents need to be held accountable, and the children need to be able to voice their opinions, children do have rights and they should be heard.
