On October 15, two men came to my door. They told me that they were in a contest against some girls (from the same affiliation) to meet 100 people they had never met before. The main talker, who goes by the name Josh Abien, talked for a short while with me at the door. The other man, whose name I don't remember, said two words the entire time we spoke. After we had met and chatted, Josh handed me a pamphlet with all sorts of magazine subscriptions on it. He then explained that the quiet man beside him was being trained, and Josh was his trainer. Thinking that this subscription would be a good idea, I decided to purchase a 3 year subscription to a music magazine that I could afford. I invited them in, and I chose Giant Magazine, which Josh assured me was well worth my money, despite it being a "newer" magazine that I had never even heard of. He told me the magazine was a bi-monthly issue, so it might take a couple of months for the next one to come in. I signed the forms, paid him $40.00 in cash, he told me he would take care of the extra $8.00 for processing service (because I was so nice to him) and he and his quiet counterpart left. I waited a month for anything to come. Nothing. Another month went by, and I thought to myself that maybe the first one had gotten lost in the mail, or perhaps it was just late, and would be sent along with the next issue. Another month passed, and again another. I decided today, January 17, that enough was enough and that I should get my money back. So, I called the customer service number listed on the receipt, only to find that the number had been put out of service. I then searched the internet looking for some way to contact them, and found them to be frauds thanks to usacomplaints.com.
