ILD Teleservices Inc. Billed me for a voicemail service which we did not order. I called Verizon and they said I must fix it with ILD... Here we go again...
I called ILD and they claimed my 14 year old daughter signed up for their voicemail service (yeah, ok). They referred me to their web page; myvoicemailprize.com but I could not get on the site.
I told them my daughter was not of legal age nor did she have rights to our telephone account to even order it. On top of that why would she order a voicemail service when she has her own cell phone with voicemail?
If you noticed the website's name of 'myvoicemailprize.com' you can imagine how kids would be eager to check out the site but she would certainly not sign up for voicemail.
I had Verizon put a block on the company so they would not be able to charge any more to my Verizon account. I called the FCC and filed a complaint. I am also filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office in NH.
When I spoke to the FCC I asked and they told me there were not many complaints against this company so if anyone has a problem with them and reads this please file a complaint with the FCC and the Attorney General's office so that they can be prosecuted for deceptive and/or illegal practices.
Thanks to Carol and all the others that filed a complaint here that I could read and know how to handle this situation correctly.
