No disclosure of vehicle that had been in an accident

I purchased a 2006 Dodge Stratus July. The vehicle was still under factory warranty, so I was not too worried about the mechanics of the vehicle. Boy was I wrong. The Used car department was suppose to take care of some scratches on the car, they still have not. The next day I noticed what appeared to be a rust spot on the inside of one of the doors, I was instructed to take it to their body shop. Within a couple of days the brakes started squeaking and it started what is called a "bump stop".

In between trips into the shop over the next couple of months I was not able to get the car to the body shop. I tried calling the GM at Maroone and sending 3 letters. No luck. When I was in service with the car he was never in. The car has now been into the service department 6 times for the same repairs. 1. The brakes 2. The "bump stop" 3. Creaking in the front end 4. Lights dimming when idling.

I had also contacted Daimler Dodge on the lemon law. They sent a representative to go over the repairs and scheduled an appt. The rep did not go over the repairs with me at all. He wasnt even there when I showed up for the appt. They scrubbed the brakes again (they are collecting rust) an within a day they were squeaking again. They had done this repair 3 times before and it had not helped. He refused to do anything further about the bump stop since an attempt had been made in August. The other two things the rep said he could not duplicate. Although the service manager and writer had witnessed all of the problems but the bump stop.

Now to the major problem, I took the car into Maroones body shop and they told me the rust spot was not a rust spot and the clear coat peeling on the bumper was because the car had been in an accident and had been repainted.

I took the car to a second body shop and the body shop manager confirmed that the car had been in an accident prior to me purchasing it. There is bondo all on the inside of the trunk. Then looking further the inside interior of the car doesnt fit properly against the frame.

I am a single disabled parent and put everything into this car so I would have a decent car for the next several years. I have been a safe driver for 30 years and never in an accident and I would never purchase a vehicle that had been in an accident.

It is against the law for the dealership not to disclose that a vehicle has been in an accident. Yes it is against the law but no one wants to enforce this. No one wants to take responsibility for this damaged car. Can someone out there help a mother in need.
