DriveTime are Criminals and they will STEAL your money and sell you a crappy car. We bought a car at DriveTime less than a month ago and once we got it home and started poking around we noticed that the car had A LOT of hidden rust inside and outside.
The metal under the seats of the car were rusted, the rotors, behind the dash once we started pulling the paneling off had rust all behind it, in the lighter, under it, etc... This car had to have sat in water at some point in time. It was dark when we bought it. Our Mistake!
It was a 2003 and the inside of this car looked brand new and now we think we know why. COVER UP!!! They put new carpet in this car. It got HORRIBLE gas mileage (like 12 miles a gallon) when they said it got like 30. I got stranded with a dead battery several times right away and had to go and get a new one.
Then to top things off... They came over and repossessed this car in the middle of the night because they said our 1st payment was a few days late. Our sales man lead us to believe that we could pay our payment bi-weekly or monthly as long as the full payment was made that month... WRONG!!!
These people never even call to find out what was going on with the payment or anything. We gave these people $1500.00 down, had this car for 3 weeks and they came and took it at 4 A.M. And we were told we couldn't get it back We were SHOCKED... This is how these people make their money...
Now my husband is getting the run around from these people. Can't get a straight answers from anyone. One person said to call this person and then that person said to call back to this person. It's AWFUL...
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! They over price their cars terrible as well.
I went and bought the same car from somewhere else except this car is an 2005 with 50,000 walk-out price $14,500.
The one I got from DriveTime was a 2003 with 89,000 walk-out price $24,000
DriveTime and any other dealership like this should be shut down. I'm glad they took their crappy car back...
