I ordered a group of four magazine titles in June from an online promo while ordering some items from a company providing photo imprinted t-shirts. I thought it was fine until the year expired and I was charged full price for the next years subscriptions.
I assumed I could go to the sites for each magazine and unsubscribe. I was redirected to Newsub Magazine services through the National Geograpic site and contacted them the same day (June 19th) to discontinue. After a very lengthy trial and error through their phone service I finally was connected to a "live" person that took the information and told me they were cancelled.
I was not overly surprised to recieve the next months issues since I called mid month. I figured they might go ahead and charge me for one issue of each subscription but had no doubt they would end.
I just recieved three issues for October. They did discontinue the most expensive one (Newsweek at $41.87) but I was not credited for ANY of the magazines. I spent over and hour last week trying to reach someone and could only get a recording stating my subscriptions had been discontinued on June 19th.
I am out $102.79 to this company and cannot get it resolved. I will never again order magazines from the computer but will keep hounding them until they respond.
