A young man came to the house, stating that he lived on a nearby street, that he was raising funds for his baseball team, and that he was selling books and magazines to raise those funds.
Lots of families have children raising funds for sports activities, so I didn't think anything of it.

Scam reports popped up.
I tried to cancel via phone. The triplicate form I signed states "NO CANCELLATIONS BY PHONE."
I have put a stop payment on the check, and have sent a written notice, per the very hard to read instructions on the back of the form I signed.
