A young man claimed to attend the University of Houston and was a nephew of my neighbor around the corner (he dropped names). He said he was trying to raise money for his baseball team to go on a trip.
He had a colored, fold out list of all the magazines available. He even had a book with carbon copy slips and gave me one as my receipt. This was on 8/12/09 (today is 10/20/09) and I have yet to receive my magazines.
I recently checked with the BBB and the company has an F rating. I called customer service and it went to a poorly recorded voice message. After reading everyone else's comments and researching online, it's pretty clear this was a scam.
Watch out!
