Ambrosia Restaurant In Armory Square New York Kevin Digney Ambrosia Restaurant and Night Club Racism ripoff Ambrosia is in Armory Square

Ambrosia Restaurant owned by Kevin DigneySunday, April 01 a night out on the town... Racial discrimination Current mood: irate last night my fianc and I went out to Ambrosia for a night of dancing and dinner. I live in Syracuse NY. Its not a big city perhaps we are well known because of the university in which I attend, Syracuse University. I have lived here all of my life but I am currently preparing to relocate to south Fla within the next year or so.

Downtown Syracuse is a business / entertainment district. There are squares which are complete with boutiques, cafes, restaurants, taverns and dance clubs. The majority of those that frequent the downtown night life are of the Caucasian influence.in my opinion, this is because I believe that the Ambrosia club and restaurant owners, Kevin Digney, there would rather not have people of color in their establishments. Ambrosia makes all kinds of rules and regulations that determine whether you get in or not. Now, imp not gonna lie. I and baby looked good, like we always do when we decide to go out. My fianc who is a manager at against all odds clothing store knows how to dress for the occasion. He had on a brown and tan plaid button up collar enyce shirt that fit long and blue jeans that where just a tad baggy but "trendy" and some soft dark brown leather tims. He has long dreads that he had tied up in a pony and was shaven and clean. Oh by the way he also has a grill of gold teeth. I had on some blue jeans with a dress blouse and some heels. Dreads hangin nice and one simple gold chain. We walked up to the entrance where there were people waiting to get in after being id'd. Everyone seemed to be getting in with no problem, including a couple of white guys who looked to be about 20 something that had on tee shirts, dingy jeans and sneakers. When my fiance and I got to the entrance, the bouncer who is white says to my fiance, without even bothering to look at his id, "you cant come in with that look" so of course we responded "what look is that" he proceeded to tell my fiance that he could not come in with his excessively baggy clothing and his boots. Now honestly, my fiance is a manager of a "hip hop" clothing store so of course he is going to be dressed accordingly to the latest trend. So I reply to the bouncer, "It doesnt look like he has on anything differently than the rest of these people that you are letting in". So the bouncer just basically dismissed us saying the owner does not want guys with my fiance's look in his club with "the gold teeth and all of that". All the while imp hearing them bumping lil john up in the club! He lets the next 5 people dressed in baggy jeans polo shirts and sneakers or boots in the club. Oh guess what was different... They were white! So being the line steppers that we are. We moved over to the side to see how many white people with the same type attire the bouncers at the door would let in. While we were waiting two black gentlemen asked us what was up... We told them [they] wouldn't let us in. So they confidently walked to the entrance to proceed into the club. They had on jeans, tucked in shirts and shoes!!! One guy had corn rows and the other had a brush cut, no gold teeth and in my opinion fit to go to some kind of church conference. Guess what happened... They were told by the same bouncer that they could not get in with their look! So it goes without saying by this time, we are like "what the f* is going on!" we fussed at the bouncers for a couple of mins more, got some white people to see what was going on and they decided not to go into the club because of that, the bouncer got hot because we were causing a "scene" and losing money for them but we walked down the street to the next dance club, got in with no problem.

This is just my blog, I'm basically venting here. But the real action is about to take place in just a couple of minutes with my letters to 5 local newspaper in which I know club ambrosia is advertised. The papers include the daily orange which is the university daily news paper, the post standard, herald journal, urban cny, and Latino cny.

Ambrosia Restuarant in Armory Square and its owner Kevin Digney are Racist and Discriminatory, that's it!
