This company called me and the guy was talking so fast I couldn't even understand what he was saying. So, now my credit card is being billed almost $50 a month for a magazine subscription that I don't even want.
I called them to cancel and they said I only had the first ten days to do so and that I have a contract with them that I cannot break. The total of this adding up to almost $600.
I spoke with my attorney and he said that if there is an agreement for more than $500 then the contract has to be in writing. I called the company back and told them this and he knew I was right, but still refused. Out of the blue he asked me if I was a student, and I was being honest and said yes.
Then he told me that students get a discount, which he then did to make the total $400 something. I try to be honest with the company and they totally screwed me over.
My legal battle with them is not over. I will bring my attorney into this if I have to. I'd rather pay him the $500 than a crooked company.
To anyone considering just say NO!
