I foolishly went online to myfreelaptop.com after hearing the commerical for two months. I dismissed the commerical at first as a gimmick. But, it ran on a radio station I thought I could trust, B96 FM in Chicago. And, I wanted to try and win a free laptop.
Little did I know myfreelaptop.com turned out to be just a survey/offer fill website of companies preying on those who didn't know any better in the moment. I didn't understand if the surveys and offers had to be checked out over time or all at once. I decided to try and get through it all in one sit in session.
It took me through a few pages of surveys, then it got to the pages where with each page one had to accept at least the minimum offers myfreelaptop.com present you with before you could move on to the next page. They required me to accept a total of seven offer, which or considered "trial" offers. But some of the offers had "sub" offers (how can I explain) that basically up the total of offers to nine instead of seven.
I didn't really need any of these offers but I was just trying to meet the minimum requirements of myfreelaptop.com. I spent four hours of my night off from work, trying to get a free laptop. I thought about those people I seen on tv who endure crazy situations to win cars and grand prizes, and I thought that if I could get to the finish line of this survey/offer "thing" I could get that laptop that they enticed me with at the being of the whole ordeal.
To make a long story short. I didn't get the laptop. It's costing me more time and money to try and correct all the wrongs I did to myself by falling for this free laptop deal... BAD, BAD, BAD deal!!!
On Target Grants is one of the offers that I accepted while on myfreelaptop.com. I called them to cancelled my "account" with them. I never went to their site until just now, when I googled them from the information provided by my credit card company. They charged me $49.95.
I only wrote this to give reenforcement to another person's claim about the company. I came across her report on Google when I was trying to find the address to On Target Grants, but I only found the website.
I was going through a lot trying to "fix" my mistake messing with myfreelaptop.com some of the charges I was going to let go, because I didn't have the energy to deal with the run around these companies but you through. But, then I thought about how my money is hard to come by and I can't let this company take advantage of me.
I was going to call On Target Grants, but seeing the run around the person got I'm going to just try to settle the matter with my credit card company. I'm within the 60 days of disputing the charge. Hopefully, I could get some results.
In my Google search for the website via the info in my transaction list on my credit card. The phone # came up in this website: thegrantmentor.com
