Ripped off by magazine door salesman ripoff

On October 19th a man named Mike Taylor came to my door selling magazines for a contest he was in to win money. He told me about how he had 3 kids and a wife back home depending on his sales. I felt bad for him since he explained how he hadn't had much luck.

I ordered a prescription to Men's Fitness for my husband. He filled out the reciept and was on his way. Several weeks later I never recieved a magazine, then after a few months I relized something was definetly not right when there were still no magazines in the mail.

I know lots of people get scamed all the time in many different ways but it never happened to me. Now I will never order anything unless it is directly from the company itsself and am very cautious with ordering anything online, through mail or any other way it is easy for people to scam me.

Why this company still exists and the fact that not much can be done about this is ridiculous. I have seen reports on here from years ago and obviouls nothing has been done because 3-4 yrs. Later they are still ripping people off.

I did not have the extra money at the time, I had just begun my military career and was still sleeping on the floor with no furnature, and eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for almost every meal and was unaware at the time that I was a few weeks pregnant. Just under 50 dollars is a lot of money for me to pay for lousy magazines I never recieved.
