Told me I could buy magazines to help him win points for college for $60, never got magazines! Ripoff

Guy came to my door and claimed he was selling magazines for points to get into college. He convinced me to buy a years worth of car magazines as a gift for my boyfriend. I wrote a check out to "FDSI" for $57 and he left a note on my door that was suppose to tell "the other salesmen" out there not to come "bother me."

Before he left he asked me why I had chose to buy them and I told him it was because I hate being out there selling stuff, like chocolate for my sisters and brothers, and no one wants to buy any so out of the kindness of my heart I did it.

He asked me what he should do different to sell more and I gave him some tips then off he went with my check. He told me it would clear the bank in three days unless I cancelled it but I assured him I wasn't going to because I "trusted him."

He seemed pretty nice, but I was wrong. This has happened to me twice with the same company but I thought the first time I had the magazines were sent to a childrens hospital because that is what the guy told me it would go to so I didnt think about it much. I really didnt know I got ripped off on that one too. Twice with the same company!
