If you're like me, you hate doing taxes. The forms, schedules, tables, lines, an entire labyrinth of exemptions and deductions and legalisms that mostly don't apply to you but how can you be sure until you check? The fact that you're throwing away an entire evening of your life — one that you'll never get back — just so some IRS accountant can sit down and double-check your work and decide whether or not you owe more.
OK, so we all hate that stuff. I was complaining about it all last week to a friend who was like, just go to taxbrain.com. Good advice. Basically, you get yourself all signed up and then you answer 20 questions and based on your answers they'll collect the forms, etc., for you. The e-filing process through the site is pretty easy and painless, and there's 24-hour free customer support in case you're confused about something. There are a whole bunch of other advantages to using them, but rather than list them out here in a couple thousand words, I'd recommend seeing for yourself at taxbrain.com. Get that refund faster!
