AACC 2800$ for 2 days in the gym? Ripoff Michigan Minnesota

No more than a year ago I went into Bally's believing that I wanted to sign up for a membership.
This was based largely on the fact that they had a Daycare and it would be easy for me to get there on a daily basis with someone to watch my *newborn* son.
I informed the desk that I would need a package including Daycare and asked specifically if they accepted children as young as my son. The guy assured me all would be well and they would most defenately take my son. The daycare package costs a good 30$ more every month bringing my payment to 60$ per month.

I paid my initial dues and read over the contract. It was explained to me that if I visited less than 7 days in the first 30 days that I could then be let out of the contract with no further obligation.

Well I visited, and they wouldn't take my son in the daycare. The facility was nice but I could not get there without a babysitter. This frustrated me beyond belief and I attended one more class with my sister before deciding I did not want to be tied to a useless contract.

AACC Has been calling me, and calling me, and calling me.
I answered once maybe 2 months ago when they explained to me that I owed them 2800$ for my Bally's contract. A contract I can't even use anymore. 2800$ being *way more* than the 720$ years long contract I signed. I explained that I was told if I did not visit more than 7 days I would be released of the contract, and that I did not even ask for my deposit back even though I had barely used the facilities.

The woman became beligerent and very rude. "Well ma'am don't you read things before you sign them?"
Me: "Yes I most certainly do, and between reading the contract and having the rep tell me that information I have a question for you."
Her: "Yes?"
Me: (not realizing this was a sold debt obviously) "Do you make a habit of having your reps lie to people in order to get them to sign a contract? I searched and searched but there was no age limitation on the daycare facilities in the contract. Yet I was assured it would be fine, then turned down at the door."
Her: "Ma'am it is not my fault that you are responsible for a contract YOU signed; now you either pay the 2800 dollars in full or else we will take you to court."

I then hung up on her stating "I do not have 2800$ to pay for 2 days at the gym so DO NOT call me again, I will call you when I know how to proceed with this."

So, any advice, cuz this is rediculous.
The original contract was for about 750$ for the whole year.
I want to request verification but I don't even know if they've put it on my credit yet.

I'm in shock because I did plan on returning to Bally's once my son was old enough, but with how quick they are to deal with shady people like AACC, I doubt I will be going back there anytime soon.
