If you are not a low life, scum bag, piece of trash, or in other words a CREEP, do not buy or live in the Parkwater Park Neighborhood near Trent and Fancher in Spokane, WA. We mistakenly thought that we could live in this questionable neighborhood that was next to a very small park, that looked like it was for toddlers and such. I visited the home for a month and there were no signs of bad neighbors. The day we moved in there were 20 teenagers in the park yelling and screaming and kicking at the chainlink fence at our small dog. I was horrified, it was not a nice quiet area.
I tried to just ignore what was going on, but every day it wasn't pouring rain it got worse. Then they started playing soccer in the park, and mind you there is a huge park like 4 blocks away and the one we live next to is basicaly 1 city lot. So pretty soon the soccer ball ends up slamming off my bedroom windows at all hours of the night. Just as I would be dozing off to sleep at midnight "BOOM!" and then laughter. I tried calling the police because there was a curfew after 10pm, sometimes the cops came and made them leave only to have them back again 10 minutes later.
I also had started a home based business and I was on the phone a lot trying to speak with clients during the day and when school got out I had to content with soccer balls, and screaming, like bloody murder screaming right outside the house. I was turning into a nervous wreck, I didn't want to go out and ask them to be quiet because I knew that would just egg them on more but I had to do something so I called the police and they basically told me they won't do anything till after 10. They also were constantly climbing our fence and opening the gate because they were always kicking stuff over hitting the house.
I finally had enough and went out and politely asked if they would stop screaming and maybe move their play somewhere else and went back inside to 10x more kids yelling and screaming. I don't know why... Could it be because they could?! And I went out and asked again only to get screamed at by a 14 year old little bitch. So I decided to go and scream outside her parents house down the road. That was the wrong thing to do, but when you're at your wits end what do you do? So her dad threatened to kill me and called my a see you next tuesday in front of lots of small kids and the police were called and they almost took me to jail because I asked the kids to be quiet!?!?!? Seriously!
I could go on and on about the harassment that ensued. I suffered a nervous breakdown thanks to these nice people. Ultimately I had to sell the house because I couldn't live there anymore due to the constant stress of having a bunch of kids yelling and roaming the property as they pleased to steal and trash the place. All the while the police do nothing! Some of them came in my back yard and stole my pet rabbit and I caught them with it in their front yard and the police did nothing! Thanks again Spokane Police Dept.!!! Just because these delinquents are minorities does not mean you should let them get away with everything for fear of being called racists! It's bull! I'm white and if I look crosseyed at a minority kid I'll go to jail but it's ok for them to come on my property and steal.
