This is a warning for all potential Vonage subscribers, once you are in... You are in. If it doesn't work for you, then you will pay for it.
This is what happened to me. I paid $66.54 for activation, later $21.94 the next month for service. The $14.99 service soon becomes $19 or so, for taxes and other stuff, so don't get exited about paying $14.99 because that's not what you are getting.
My connection was terrible when calling Mexico, unusable, but not USA, so it didn't work for me. Sadly I realized I didn't wanted the unreliable service after 33 days. I was then charged $97.13 for disconnection fee.
In total, after two months I paid almost $200 dlls. And vonage woudn't even give me a break for the 3 days after the period. So, it may work for some people, but if it doesn't work then you are screwed.
Do you want to take the risk? There is no freebies with Vonage, once the have your credit card seems that they can do what ever they want.
I mean, do we need a lawyer everytime we sign a contract to help us understand the small print? I just feel nauseated ever time I see a vonage commercial.
I know... Is my fault. After all I was three days over the test period. But that's how they make money, from people like me who procrastinate.
