I am such a fool. I did not know about this site until tonight. I placed an order for them almost 2 weeks ago, late at night, through an infamercial on television.
My story is that i called late at night, didn't even have a live person taking my order, but an ' automated teller.' That should have been my first clue and i should have hung up then.
They advertised ' buy one set ($39.95) get one free' which seemed like a great deal. They mentioned nothing about the cost of shipping, so figured i'd find out when i called.
After i placed the order, the phone call never ended, but proceeded to try and upsell me with so many different items it was downright ridiculous.
You HAVE to hang on the phone and listen to this crap, as they did not summarize up my order, tell me what the shipping was, or confirm my order was placed.
After what seemed like an eternity, they still weren't finished trying to persuade me to buy other things, i finally just hit the ' 1' button hoping it would by pass this or something... All i heard after that was ' your call has ended' and disconnected me.
I call the next day during business hours to confirm that my order was indeed placed (they conveniently get your credit card number in the early part of the call. I was informed that they did receive it, the order placed, but it did not ship out yet.
I wanted to confirm that i was getting 2 sets, and was being charged $39.95. I assumed shipping was free or that there would be a minimal/normal shipping fee for this. Boy was i WRONG.)
Customer service informed me that shipping was $20.00 and that my bill was $59.90. Unbelievable. $20.00 for shipping on a $39.95 order? I wasn't happy, felt taken, but just said alright, as i really wanted these knives.
Now, it's 2 weeks later, i call to see if they've been shipped yet and was told they have not!
2 weeks later, they have my money and knives still sitting somewhere on a shelf?
I proceed to do a search on this company, and, well, here i am. I've been on internet a long time and can't believe i never knew about this site. Very grateful to have found it.
So, i am now going to call my credit card company, and go through what alot of other people have had to go through.
Ahh, live and learn i say.
