I have a 4 year old daughter by a man who I used to live with and he is not only not supporting his daughter, but he called my employer, where I had been employed for 21 years and got me fired. He called them many times and told lies to discredit me. Unfortunately, my supervisor, who was looking for a way to get rid of as many people as possible, used these lies against me.
This man is the brother of my late husband who committed suicide in 1999. I had 2 children who Terry was a good uncle to and we all lived together for almost 3 years. After our daughter was born he started drinking a lot after work and would not come home until 11:00 at night. When I became concerned he would get very angry. It came to a head one night and he kicked the 4 of us (me, his daughter, his niece & nephew) us out of his house.
I took his daughter to visit him about once a week for the first year. My older 2 children (11 & 8) did not want to see him. He wanted us to move back in with him, but because the 2 oldest were not comfortable with him anymore, I promised him that we would move back in if he quit drinking and I gave him a year. He did not stop drinking. Not only is he not supporting his daughter but he has abandoned my other 2 kids as well.
