I recieved a telemarketing call saying I could get magazine subscriptions at a very discounted rate. When I recieved my confirmation letter, however, the prices were much steeper than what the representative on the phone had led me to believe. I called customer service to cancel, and they seemed to cooperate.
Later, I began recieving some of the magazines. I never recieved all of them, or regularly. I called Consolidated Media Services again to cancel, and they told me that my account was now cancelled and paid in full. I would be able to finish out the year's worth of subscriptions at no more cost, but I have not been recieving those magazines regularly and I am skeptical of if they will keep their word. I recieved a letter that said my account was paid in full, but I am still worried because I am a college student and there is no way I can afford this, and it could ruin my credit history very early in my life.
