My husband took the phone call and was unaware of this type of scam. He unwittingly agreed to the ridiculous price of $89.00 for 12 rolls of thermal paper. I can buy a nine pack at Staples for less than $15.00.
They're real cute in distribution, as the box has a return address of I.D.S.in Montreal, but when I called Federal Express, I was told that the name of the company was Quebec Inc. Located in Richmond, Quebec. When I finally got through, I was told that my husband's phone call had been recorded and he agreed to the price. They put me on hold and called him again and told him they would drop the price to $75.00 if he would agree to accept the rolls.
When she got back to me and told me what my dumb husband said, I told her we would not keep them. Then she told me there was a restocking fee of $35.00!! I had to send them a check before they would send me a return authorization.
