I was subjected to unlawful invasion of privacy. My wife & I were rented a home that was advertised for $1000/mo., but when we arrived for the site inspection, the home had a gazebo with a a hot tub that cost $200/ month more. This gazebo was 20 feet from the house and was assumed to be included in the rent.
In addition, we had to use their cleaning people and landscaping staff for an additional $200/mo. After the lease was signed. This caused stress on my wife & my relationship. The new lease forbade any new person to live with me unless an additional $150/mo was paid and that no pets were allowed, which precluded any reconciliation with my wife to move back in with our 2 dogs which were originally allowed to live there. Also, we were mislead on the utilities rates so that, in the end, a rental home that was advertised for $1000/mo was costing us $2050/mo to live there. Then they are asking for damages to home that we only lived in for 3 months. Unfair!!
