I am an attorney writing on behalf of a client and NCO would not provide a fax number to either me or my client. They stated that the collection account was no longer with them, but when we called to Creditor that they were working for, AOL, AOL confirmed that the matter could be settled through AOL or NCO, implying that NCO did have the account. It appears that NCO gives consumers the run-around, so that consumers may loose track of the 30-day period in which to dispute the debt.
We had to stop calling them and try and find a fax number in order to dispute the charge. While the company was unwilling to provide a VALID fax number, we were able to get the below fax number noted in this email at www.oklahomajobmatch.com. I can't say that our fax will end up in the correct department, but we do have a fax confirmation for our dispute sent into the company. It seems that they have several job postings in various cities, so this may be the easiest way to reach them by fax. We of course are still sending in the written dispute.
