Hubert Blaine Boyles, 47 years old, is a dead beat dad who refuses to work and support his children. He curently owes $15,407.00 in past due support and is under a court order. He is an educated man with 2 degrees, but for "revenge on me" he refuses to work. He lives with his mother in a doublewide in Ararat. I currently have an OFA outstanding, but the Surry County Sherriffs Dept cannot catch him outside her residence in order to bring him in.
I have documented my child support case since year 2003. I have had several issues within the system, that need addressing. I have sent my information all the way to NC Senator Elizabeth Dole! I want changes made in the local Child Support Enforcement to better serve the children who are effected. Ms. Dole did reply, and ordered an investigation of my case.
Still, the issues remain the same.
1. When I do manage to get an OFA issued, it takes usually 3-4 weeks to get the OFA to Surry County.
2. When he is picked up, his bond set by the judge is always reduced or removed; only one time was the bond ever enforced, that time it was reduced from $3000.00 down to $500.00, and Mr. Boyles father came and paid it. All other times, it was NOT enforced... And MR DEADBEAT was released after serving usually 30-45 days, with no money received, and my efforts in VAIN!
3. Once my OFA was lost or misplaced, and had to be re-issued. No one told me this until I inquired about the status of my case.
To say we are serious about dead beat dads in NC is a JOKE. I have emailed our local media, local papers, numerous NC Senators, local child support officials - anyone in a position to help make a change... No one will print my story.
Here are my ideas:
Print dead beats pics in the local papers once a month, before print give them the option to pay up. One paper in VA did this, and collected more than $25,000.00 in child support for the children.
I need a county-owned billboard that can display dead beats who meet certian criteria, changed monthly or bi-weekly. I have inquired about this with Senator Dole.
I think that a custodial parent who is owed more than $10K in past due support, has a court order, and the dead beat has no income to garnish, no bank accts to seize, no property to place a lien upon... Should be allowed to make a little withdrawal from the dead beats social security account. If the dead beat has no regard for the childrens well-being NOW, why consider THE DEADBEATS well-being later in life? These children only have one change at childhood, and these deadbeats ROB the children of the necessities of life, with no regrets. I say make them PAY!
