My story is like 2 others I have read on here. The men came to the door, and push to sell the boxed meats. When I said I just came back from grocery shopping, litereally, and didn't have that sort of extra money to spend, they quickly began to negotiate the price. Then they pointed out I could write a post dated check.
Yes, I was a sucker for buying meat from a door to door salesman. He was very good about convincing me, and telling me that Applebee's, and I believe he said Outback used their meats. He pointed out the money I would save, when I told him how much I usually spend per steak. My fault for falling for the scam.

I call this a scam, because once we cooked up the first box of steaks, we were disgusted. It was mush! There was a chalk like texture. It was just the most horrible meat I've ever had! The man that wrote and said he ate them, and there was nothing wrong w / them. I don't know, maybe you didn't have anything else to eat.

Nobody in my family could eat this meat. My husband gagged on it a few times. Neither of my kids would even swallow it!

I called the gentlemen back who sold them to me, but suprisingly, he doesn't work for the company anymore. He gives me the number to St. Petersburg, the head office from what I understand.

But they can't help me since they didn't sell it to me. They give me the number to Jacksonville, Fl, and they can't help me either, they tell me to call the Charlotte, SC office.

I talk to a man at the SC office who says I have to talk to the manager about getting a refund.

The other boxes of steaks are untouched in my freezer. I want them picked up and my money back! Atleast for what has not been touched.

I leave a message for the manager since he never called back like I was told he would. I was never called back again! So I call again, and the manager picks up.
He's telling me they can't do a pick up, w/o okay from the head office. He is persistant in wanting me to switch out the steaks for another of Direct USA's product.

I simply asked, "Why would I want to try anymore of your products when I don't like what I have?"
He says this is what we normally do if it's past 3 days, blah, blah, and this was in the brochure you got. He mentions the brochure about 2-3 times, by now I'm simply annoyed, because I was never given a brochure. He says well you should have been.

Well I wasn't, so now what!? He tells me he's got to call the head office to get the okay for a pick up, he calls me back the next day, and says it's been approved, but now they have to wait for some one to come back to my area to do the pick up, and he has no idea when that will be.

He says he will call and let me know in advance. I said, "Will it be next week?" "Umm, I don't know that. I can't say when."

I have also emailed my frustrations to the costumer service section on their website, and have not heard a reply from them either.

So not only was I upset about the nasty tasting, poor quality meats. I'm not having a good experience w / the staff trying to schedule a pick up and getting a refund.
