It's funny how scam letters seem to flood to you & your family members all at once.
Today I received the Nouveau Tech "I'm so special" letter. It's not bulk mail yet the stamp is 29.2 cents (I've been paying 39 cents must be the post office ripping me off). There is no return address (Hmm not bulk mail?). This letter is full of bologna, yet I continued to read on. It was fascinating. It caters to the every good daydream each and every human being longs to come true. I mean it starts of by telling you your special and have been being watched by powerful people (How flattering and mysterious... So 007). However it never lists any of the so called "wonderful traits" that these powerful people have seen in you. You've been chosen to receive secrets that will make you powerful, rich and able to seduce any man or woman. What fascinated me is what if I was in a slump or some sort of depression when I receive this 8 page letter. Might I have been tempted to respond before completing some valuable research? The answer is yes. It plays on the deepest emotions of basic human want. What's sad is that this letter is sent to those of us who NEED more so than want all of it's promises. Those of us that do not have the $135.00 that Nouveau Tech (Publishing Co) will ask you to send them after you receive your 56 page pamphlet (which by the way never reveals any secrets promised in the original "Your so special" letter). They are making money off of people who desperately need that money.
Also today my brother received a letter from an "attorney" asking him to pose as the kin of some guy in Nigeria. He promises to split this mans fortune with my brother 60/40% split. (My brother gets 40%) Wouldn't you know it many others received the very same letter today. All refering to some dead guy in Nigeria. So becareful of this scam as well.
