I signed up online for a free trail month. I cancelled within that first month. I was charged 4.87 on a credit card. I assumded that it was shipping and handling. The next month I was charged 24.00. I disputed this with my card company. They gave me back my money. This all started in aug. 05.
I called the company several times noone ever answered. I consolidated my credit cards. Then another charge appeared for 44.00. I again called my card company. They refunded my money.BY nov. 05 I thought I was done.
Yesturday 5-19-06 I recieve a call from Receiable Management Services, a collection agency. I told them that I did not owe any money to ultra life fitness. Went to www.ultralifefitness.com, which no longer exists. So I called the 1-800 number. I was placed on hold. Then told that there was not a manager or supervisor there that I could talk to, she asked for my name and number. I hung up on her. I called back again to try to speak with someone else and I got the same girl. I hung up on her again
I called the collection agancy again to see what else could be done. I do not want this on my credit report. He gave me a fax number to fax a disbute letter to. Guess what it was a boogus number. I went to my mayor's office to look for help, they said to file a police report. I will do that first thing Monday morning. I hope if some attorney does take this case, that this information will help.
