My friend and I Leslie went to Puupis Haven to look for a puupy for me. She ended up buying an American Bulldog 3/29. The following week she took her dog to the vet and found the dog had coccidia, kennal cough, and was close to secondary pneumonia. She researched the puppy lemon law and knew she had rights and so did the dog. My friend already has a dog, so naturally took the pup to the vet she trusted and was given an unfit for sale certificate.
We went to the place yesterday so she could get her money back. There was a couple in the store that was complaining about a dog they had recently purchased that was also sick. The sad part was the dog needed amergency surgery and was missing shots, so he couldn't get the surgery until all his shots were given at least that is what i understood.
The sales associate claimed her ex - husband was the vet that was in charge of all the dogs and that ALL dogs had a clean bill of health, but the place smelled of feces and dirty animals. The woman denied the claim the couple gave and had on a styraight face. She did not tell them about the puppy lemon law, but I did. I waited until they left the place and caught them outside. They were not surprised at all about what they had just discovered and we exchanged numbers.
I have filed a previous complaint and so did my friend. Please help us. I believe all pet shops should eother be closed or need to have the puppy lemon law posted on the window for everyone to see.
