The worst part about this is that Windows Media Player version 10 refers you to these morons as their favorite pick! I should'a known better from "highwayman" Gates' crew!
CAVEAT EMPTOR! These bozos actually refuse reply e-mail sent to them with fake customer service e-mail addresses! BOTH their primary Website AND their alledged customer service e-mail box refuse e-mail! Contact information is nearly impossible to find: Their physical address is not listed, and if you try and find them with a WhoIs search they've hidden their registration information. This is NEVER a good sign for a conscientious buyer!
Mp3-Freebie.com and affiliated sites masquerade as a legitimate online music operation, but instead end up selling you Gnutella file-stealing software. If I wanted to break the law by using Gnutella to download music files I wouldn't have paid for them to do it for me!
With a little searching I found they're affiliated with CashEngines.com and I made an e-mail demand for refund with someone known as Ian Bacon at that Website, described as an "affiliate manager."
Contacts listed at the CashEngines.com Website are Ian Bacon, [email protected], 514-448-6931, ext. 271 and Darren Berze, darren. [email protected], 514-448-6931, ext. 274.
I'll post an update when I have it. I fully expect them to ignore my demand for a refund, about $25, and to have to file an Internet fraud report and notify my bank and the FBI about them.
