I worked for IPA, A&I, and IBA - these are all affiliated companies. Unlike most people I see on this site, I worked at the home office. I was involved in the hiring of employees. This included telemarketers, Senior Business Analysts, and a couple of other so called positions.
In the beginning I was just told how great the comany was and totally hidden from the vast charges, complaints, disgruntled companies, unpaid employees, and was even hidden from the disgusting telemarketing area - which is in the back of the building far away from anyone who drives up to the building.
I originally interviewed for a Business Coordinator (little did I know it was for a telemarketer) position and was hired within 5 minutes. I actually knew more about consulting than the 19 year old who hired me, not surprising because he works on commission. Within 5 minutes I was brought into another office and offered an inside position for a man who wasn't even there. They will hire anyone on spot or over the phone!
I sat in the lobby with women toting along thier three kids, people on drugs, and amazingly other people like me - people with BA's, Masters, and PHD's. There is no shame in who they will hire. At certain times we interviewed 15 people at once or had them come to hotel to do a 30 person interview.
Beware of anyone who contacts you from a resume on the internet and sets an interview via email.
The problem is that the people who worked with me were good people. The SBA's (outside sales) are NOT bad people. They are good, hard working business people who are shammed into believing in this business. Once they realize what they are doing, they quit. If you encounter these people at your business, talk to them like a human and it's highly likely they will come out of the brainwashing. Kicking them out of your business usually doesn't work because they are taught to keep coming back. They will also call thier inside man when they are outside to talk them through convincing you. Don't let them call the home office - the guys in the office are smart and just walking them through the psychological game.
Do not work for or hire this company.
