I am another victim of this scam with a story similar to others. The guy calling told me about the program that we would receive x amount of dollars in our account after I argued with him about 30 minutes he convinced me that they were with the government and could not lie and all their conversations were recorded. I gave him my checking account number believing him then when he transferred me to verify my info and then told me 29.95 would be deducted from my account I then told him he did not have permission to take any money out of my account and he kept trying to sell me on the product and I told him no that I did not have the funds in my account and they did it anyway taking out 59.95 causing an overdraft fee of $36.00 and when I called them I got the runaround and they refuse to refund the money. I called my bank the next business day and they have not refunded my money. They state because I gave them my checking account number was the problem, and I told them yes I gave it to them, but did not authorize any money to come out of my account. This has been going on since Feb 16th. I told them I would not stop here. Just to let you know our news media here was doing a live report on this at 5:00 Eastern Time. I am hoping to get some resolve from my bank I fill like they are blaming me and don't want to put the money back.
What would be my next move if they refuse to put the money back?
