I notice when I called to check my account that there was debit made to my account that I had no knowledge of. So I asked the repersentative to give me some more details of the debit that was made. That's when the rep said it was from a company called Goverment Grant Membership with an amount of 39.95 taken out on 08/06.
The rep gave me a number to call about the money taken out, because they could not do anything on their end. I would have to contact the company that debit my account to get my money back. So once I got off the phone with my bank I called my fiance' to ask her about the debit and she told me she had no knowledge of that nor have she ever heard of that company before. So she asked me if the bank gave me a number (888-433-1096) to contact them and to get my money back I told her that I had the number, but it kept saying "The number you reach is busy, please try back later".
I called and my fiance' called all day on 08/08/08 and we kept getting the same message over and over again. I never heard of this company and don't know how they got my account information, but I refuse to let them take anymore money from me. I will have this charge disputed by my bank and my money back in my account.
