Notification and Claim of Fraud Footprints author Mary Stevenson, also known as Mary Zangare, son Basil Zangare, rip off Footprints poster artist Danny Hahlbohm. Website Owner Basil Zangare claims Mary wrote 'Footprints' in 1936 when she was very young and knew nothing of copyrighting. Later notified that counterfeiting is against the law Basil Zangare website owner was asked to remove this continuing attempt to extort funds from the orginal author anonymous. Mary took a version written by a teacher trying to promote it as her own.
I am not convinced after reading Mary Stevensons
sad story that her authorship is genuine. There were
and are many contradictions displayed throughout
Gail Giorgios book Footprints in the Sand. The biggest
contradiction I came across in the book was about the actual copies of the original poems. Forensics gapping
its margins of its 20 year conclusion. No real date
expressed in day, month and year.
Mostly I do not believe that obtaining copyrights were
out of her control. Any author who creates a writing is
entitled to claim it's ownership. Marys birth age of 1922
and authorship of 1936-1939 are contradictorary also.
The Copyright Laws remained the same from 1909-1963,
then changed in 1964-1978. She claims she could not AFFORD to copyright. That in itself is entirely WRONG. An average cost was obtainable at under $50.00.
Copyrights are affordable and always have been.
Although she managed to remedy her loss to public
domain according to the copyright laws of 1909 of which
she was bound by, she was able to receive rights
for her version of text at a later time.
The fact remains she has no physical proof of creation to
the well known version that became loved by so many.
I find all this very sad indeed that others have forced
this speculation to claim the other version.

Laws are available to the public. Do not be mislead
on this subject just because others have written to bend
your emotions towards sympathy there is obviously
a buck behind it.
There is alot more to the actual Footprints story than
what has been portraited in the life of Mary Stevensons.
Literary Scholars and Theologians can distinguish the
difference and so can the public.
And the fact that most Corporations are paying someone
else for its distinguished ownership also says alot about
the more popular version and it's actual date of creation
which leads to speculation that ALL are not telling the
truth and shame on them.
