I went online on 10/5/05 and ordered this card, not aware that there was a charge. At the end of the application, the screen said that the "membership fee" would be deducted from my account immediately. I called and asked how much the fee was and was told that it's $129.95. I told them to cancell the card and not to charge my account. They said ok and I thought that was that.
A few days later, I checked my account and sure enough, they had deducted this fee from my account. I called back and was told that they would mail me a refund form that I needed to fill out and sign. A month later, and I still have not recived a form and/or my money back. I checked my account again today and saw that they've taken another $9.95 from me. I called my bank and told them what happend and was told that the bank could not give me my money back because I authorized the transaction (even though I didn't know what I was authorizing). Now I'm stuck dealing with these con artists to try to get a refund, but I'm determined that I'm going to get my money back if I have to call them every day or hire a lawyer and pay more that what they took. It's the principle of the thing!
The moral of the story is this... Don't order credit cards online; if you do, be sure to read the fine print!
