I performed a web service for Acupuncture International, i.E. Built a website and have since been receiving harassing phone and email messages for free services.
When I began this project, I was told it had to be done quickly. I received over three hundred emails while Mr. Speiser made attempts to get his 'act together' with content and the like.
After each "session" of changes and edits, he sent me emails about how good the site was and how nicely it worked.
In early September I went to New Orleans to assist a friend in their time of need and when I got back there were over sixty messages from Mr. Speiser claiming that he needed the final file — which I gave him in addition he wanted a free logo to be given to him as he was poor now and he couldn't afford to pay for it. His last e-mail before I answered stated that I was an evil person and how could I hate him so much.
Mind you, in New Orleans there is no cellphone service nor any way to check email in September or October — which is the time period I was there.
When I finally replied, all of the sudden his site buttons weren't working. He was upset because he had apparently messed around with the file and really screwed it up.
All the while claiming he didn't have the file yet I sent it to him TWICE.
So while I was not ripped off, persay, I wanted everyone who does web and graphic design to be on the lookout for this fellow as he does not conduct business in an ethical or professional manner.
He constantly harasses anyone who gives him the kindness of helping him out. When you give this fellow an inch he'll take three thousand miles. Not to mention that he lies shamelessly about the years he has been performing acupuncture. He told me he had been doing it for 30 years — interestingly, once his harassing emails started, I looked him up to find that he's only 31 years old... Therefore, he's a shameless liar to boot unless we're all to believe that he has been performing acunpuncture since the age of 1.
I can only imagine if he is like this towards someone who is trying to help him, he'll be doubly harassing if you actually get anything done by his company.
