Preston Reuther, the self proclaimed "Master Wire Sculptor", claims to be the savior of those who are looking for an alternative to 9 to 5 existance by offering a "work at home" opporturnity. He uses the mask of his "manic depressive" disorder to prey on those who are desperate to find a way out of their financial problems.
Preston Ruether is a master alright. He is a master of deceptive advertising.
I should know: he hired me as his advertising director.
Mr. Reuther has the luxury of being anonymous on the internet. What his elaborate facade doesn't reveal is that he hires the poorest of the poor and runs, in my opinion, nothing more than a "sweat shop". The workers are paid $6.00 an hour to pick and pack his $50,000 day orders only to be degraded and abused by his office manager, Rose, who does not have enough skills to pull the over-night messages from the telephone in the morning.
Preston Reuther is ruthless. He will use all of your talents and then try to have you sign bogus reprimands in order to protect himself from paying increased unemployment tax.
One employee was absent for having emergency gall bladder surgery; another for broken ribs; both were fired for no valid reason.
As for myself, I was hired under a trial period of 30 days until I was to be considered as a permanant employee. Then it was 60 days which turned into 90 days. I was told I was doing an excellent job until I pressed Preston's promise of becoming a full-time employee. Then, I was asked to put all of my files and information on a disk. I had four weeks of future projects in my files and copied them as he requested. Then, I was presented with a reprimand from his office manager, Rose, and ordered to sign it. I refused stating that I deserved to defend myself face to face with the person who hired me. The coward, Preston Reuther, fired me via email where he stated I "did nothing for his company". Well, he continued to use all of my four weeks "in advance" work on his website, so it couldn't have been that disappointing.
Go to the state of Louisiana website and search in Slidell. Type in his name under both criminal and civil cases. His has activity in both areas.
And do not reply to an ad in a small business magazine for a "free success kit" expecting to receive one. He has no intention of delivering it. He is only trying to harvest your information totally unconcerned that he is the perpertrator of false advertising.
He is a phony and a jerk, pure and simple.
