I got a check for $2,900 in the mail (dated Oct 18). A letter states to call Mr. Eric North, to confirm and they will send $750,000. The check looks very real. We called the First Niagara Bank in Lockport, NY 14094.
It is a fraud. I showed it to my bank and they agreed... It is very real looking and being a custormer for over 20. They would have taken it.
I have turned over the letter and check to my local sheriff and filed a fraud report. I have made copies of the letter, check and envelope and will send it to my postmaster, local tv and FBI friend.
