I got a call it was a woman with a foriegn accent. She says I'm Sharlen Dalson, she's with First National Benifit and you have been approved by the government to receive a 12,500 dollar grant. I said what for? She repied for the taxes you paid last year. All you have to do is fill out these forms we have and you will receive your money with in 70 days. And all it will cost you is a filing fee of 29.99.
I said okay she asked for my checking account number and I said why I'll use my credit card. She said no, we use the checking account to make sure you are who you say you are. Then she tried to get more money out of me by saying to sign for a calling call for 30.00 dollars. No, I replied so they gave a tracking number and a 1-800 number. They said the check would clear in two days.
So when I hung up. I wanted to ask how long will it take for me to get the papers. I dialed the 1-800 number it was busy for about an hour then finally I got threw (so I thought) a recording came on another a lady with an accent. Shes says please hold all our representatives are busy. Now instead of putting me on hold the recording is repeating the same thing over and over.
While I was waiting for someone to pick up I went on-line and typed in Frist National Benefit Scam, and I found this site say that many other people had been ripped off. So I called my bank and told them what happen and stopped the check. They told me I was going to be charged 5.00 dollars every time they tried to cash the check. Thats when I told them about the Bogus 1-800 Number they gave me. They replied they will wave the fees because of that. So if it's real they should call back I dout they will.
