As a former employee of ramada plaza resorts aka four amegos travel in largo fl a branch office) I feel very sorry for anyone who buys this package I too went on the trip although we didnt get to stay at the ft lauderdale or orlando resorts Thank God! We were told they were full so we picked up that hotel booklet you find in any gas station on the side of the road and stayed at howard johnson ON THE BEACH for $49.00 a nite we did drive by the hotel and go inside side and walk around the hotel is in crack town real nice but dont worry if you have brought the package and cant get your money back up grade to the beach hotels at least you and your family are not stuck in crack town.
We did do the Imperial maj regal empress cruise to the Bahamas the cruise was real bad the AC didnt work on the deck we were on they gave us fans to help we stayed on the sun deck which was the top deck the room was nice our cabin stewart was wonderful he made the cruise better for us the food on the ship was nasty they dont feed you * meals a day as it says in our scrip that we say to you. You get breakfast lunch and dinner and a midnite buff and around 2 pm they serve tea and cookies big deal. We did have a grat time in the bahamas. We didnt do any of there shore excursions. Since we been to the bahamas many times we just did our own thing.
On the way back to ft lauderdale the midnite buff was a spanish food. My boyfried got food poison was sick all they way home and next day omg forget the elevators you will be waiting 45 mins just for one wich I over extended my knee (over worked) going up and down the stairs cause we grew tired of the wait for the elevators. Ended up in the ER 2 days later. My knee swelled up so bad i couldnt bend it was put in a knee imbolizer for 4 weeks not to mention ice packs medication for the pain and a Drs notes to stay home from work at least one day.
When i called in to work was suspended for 1 week cause of calling in sick (mind you they tell you everyday you are an independent contractor) and at the office in Largo Florida I worked at we worked on commission only. I should have stayed gone from that job but i have 3 children at home to support and god forbid they have a Dr's appt or got sick. I got suspended for having to take a few hrs off if it wasnt in writting in advance by weeks and anyone who has children knows they dont get sick when u can give weeks notice. One of my children is ADHD and ODD so we see a few Drs a month i always get the lastest app I can.
I went back to work for them, was there 3 weeks, they slap me with a fine for 100 dollars for not telling you the call that alamo sub compact car is a geo metro (was never told that to begin with or i would have told you we are told and its in our scrip to say if asked its a subcompac car thats it.
Also in that fine was tell people all about the kid suites which also is in our scrip when i ask to hear the tape my manger told me they cant find it and he lost my fine paper (guess what I saved a copy)
Then 2 weeks after that i got a new to me truck (used) weds drove to work in it thurs went home picked up my children to take my son to his Drs appt at 5pm (see told u i try for the latest appt) we broke down on the way there I left my truck on the side of the road in the grass. The next morning I called into work to tell them i needed to get my truck off park blvd before the police tow it and get it to the shop.
I was the only one who had roadside service and if you have it you know all to well YOU HAVE TO BE PRESENT to use it well i was told to work that nite instead i couldnt who was watching my children then they said you are doing a double on sunday no way could i do a double one shift yes double no not with 3 children so they informed me to take 2 weeks off suspenion again I told Tom Quinn the brown nose wanna be office manger the real office manger Drick May was to lazy to get on the phone so i told Tom Qinn consider it my 2 week notice and hung up.
I did manage to get my truck towed (have repair bill to prove) and repaired see almost everyone that works in that office is addicted to crack esp the managment the (TO's) they are the ones who TAKE OVER (hense TO} when us little pee ons cant get the credit cards or they huver over you yelling in the back of your ear give me that call.
Well anyways this past friday I went to get my pay check the last one thank god. Got there and was informed once again by wanna be a big man Tom Quinn i had to leave they would mail my check W R O N G!!!
According to the NATIONAL LABOR BOARD I have every right to pick up my pay check on my regular pay day working or not which by the way according in Tom Quinns word I was termnated. Didnt matter i was'nt working there again and he still couldnt keep me from getting my check so standing in front of the office I called Largo Police Dept non emergency # and told them what was going on they informed me they would send an officer out and take care of the matter for me and if i could please wait in my truck which i did.
Need lees to say I got my check and for any of you other former or new employees keep what i did in mind and speaking with the national labor board. I also have recourse to sue for back moneys owed to me for suspending both times so i AM LOOKING FOR A GOOD LABOR LAWYER BUT I HAVE SINCE MOVED ON STARTED MY NEW JOY AND ITS NOT RIPPING PEOPLE OFF... Its helping people since i can pass a drug test and background ck (unlike most that work for ramada)
