Dear Sir/Madam:
We just experienced a very unpleasant sales situation in your PC Richard and Son Bayside branch and possible attempted consumer credit card billing fraud.
We will pursue 2 avenues of legal action if this is not taken seriously. We will complain to the BBB if this issue is not taken care of promptly for poor customer services we experienced for the several times we visited the store. Additionally we will notify the police and small claims court for the additional charges on our credit card on goods we never purchased.
My family just bought a printer/scanner at Bayside branch for around $99 on June 10. We opened a new PC Richard credit card account under my mother's name to buy it. The saleman's "James" was not that familiar with the HP product inside, so we asked him what else do we need, then he said "Everything is included." He also promised to get us some discount for getting a new PC Richards card, but he later said no. So our final purchase was the printer/scanner and 2 toners (1 color/1black). When we opened the printer/scanner package, we discovered the USB cord was missing. Salesmen should normally know about their products, but we thought "James" was a new saleman.
We had to return to the same store to get the USB cord included. Later in our SECOND visit, we asked for "James" but the front desk people first said, "Oh he's on vacation!" We insisted that we see him immediately. He reluctantly came to fix his sales problem, but he said that the USB cord is not included, so this contradicted what he said during our purchase.in the second purchase, we returned our 2 toners, and purchased the USB cord at 24.99 (4 times the price at Circuit City), since we just wanted to enjoy using the printer/scanner.
To our shocking surprise, our credit card bill shows that we made a new purchase $455.14 instead of an credit of
-$19.51
There is no record in our credit card for our exchange during our second visit despite our receipt clearly showing our exchange taking place. When we visited the store for the THIRD time to rectify the credit card bill, they tried to check the reference number of the product of the "unpurchased" item. To their surprise, the PC Richards manager in charge told us that the item was not even in their store. The manager told us they will take care of this problem and call us on Monday.
Due to the suspicious nature of all of these transactions, we will give your company headquarters several days to completely rectify this problem. After this timeframe, we will definitely notify the proper authorities.
Frankly, after listening to every second sentence which was a lie, we did not enjoy the shopping experience. Furthermore, I am really suspicious that the saleman or even the whole store is misappropriating your companies funds. I really think you might have to audit and inventory that store and fire that saleman for misrepresenting your brand name.
