I recieved a call from a lady with a very heavy accent whose name I couldn't pronounce if I tried on 6-22-05 claiming that I would be recieving a $500.00 shopping spree to any retailer that I normaly shop at.
The lady origanlly called looking for my wife, I told the lady I was her husband and she confirmed my mailing address. She claimed that I had won this prize and it would cost me nothing to accept the gift. I am in sales and do telephone work myself and asked her what it was going to cost me. She said absolutly nothing, all they ask is for me to pay the $4.95 shipping and handling on the package they were sending.
I then asked her if they would bill me later and she avoided my question. Being in the sales industry I realized you never get something for nothing and decided to google the company name while I was on the phone w/her. The first thing that came up was an Attorney General order form N. Dakota. I asked her about it and she totaly denied it.
I am glad I told her to put me on her do not call list. Don't fall for this scam. If you have given your account info call your bank emediatly an stop the charges.
I hope if enough people report this company someone will shut them down.
