Late 2003 I started working for Hals Roofing, need money and he paid cash. I tell you he paid cash, because he hasn't paid taxes in more than 20 years and he is making 80,000 a year easy. Anyway I was doing work for him for about 6 months, and finally got tired of my friday cash flow comming up short. I then started writing down the hours we all had worked weekly and found it to be about 5 hours a week we were getting screwed out of. Don't sound like much, but it builds up fast.
After telling the "foreman" about it, I got really pissed off and decited that I wasn't working for a man like that, so me and another worker left. Well come payday we show up to get our money, and Hal sad that if you quit in the middle of a job you don't get paid for the work done. I lost about 26 hours worth of pay, because of what he done. Others have lost lots more.
I am writing this, not to try to get my money back, I will do that myself, but in the hopes that someone here can get ahold of the IRS and inform them of his activities. I have tried to call them, but seeing how I have a short att. Span I can't stay on the phone for 4 hours on hold.
