We were sold a male Pug, claimed to be a "good breeder", who had Liver Shunt. We were not told this at the time (and we told her we might breed him).
This "breeder" had been using him as a stud for some time, liver shunt is a genetic disorder that SHOULD NOT be passed on!
We called her the next day and wanted to return him (because he looked unwell), and she refused to take him back.
We later found out that he had liver shunt and placed him in a wonderful home (he is considered a special needs dog, and the woman loves him to death!).
This breeder raises her puppies "in the home", but they did not appear to be well-socialized, and health is obviously not a priority.
