Arco no longer accepts credit cards?

I went to pump gas, I have a truck that usually takes about 100 in gas. I typically use a credit card due to the large amount. I was told by the attendant that Arco no longer accepts Credit cards and I must use my debit card, key in my pin then they will charge me a. 35 EFT fee? Isn't EFT free as it is a bank to bank transfer? Arco just lost any and all business with me due to this underhanded way of dealing in business.
